Freediving Course for Beginner

I received many enquires about freediving course by many people who want to take freediving education and certification. In Apnea Odyssey, we offer SSI Freediving education and certification. Now SSI has launced more program for Freediving. In SSI, we use this approach ' comfort through repetition'. In SSI Freediving course we add more training session to develop skills and increase confidence through more repetition in other to become a safe freeddiver.  So where should I start?

SSI FREEDIVING Course offered in Apnea Odyssey

In Apnea Odyssey, I always recommend to people who want to start their Freediving experience and education with Freediving Basic course which is now rebranded as Freediving Pool, or attend Freediving Basic course like I always promoted before. In Freediving Pool, you will have more pool session and more skills to complete as part of requirement for SSI Freediving Pool. For this program, you need to complete two theory session and 2 pool session where as in Freediving Basic course you will have one pool session to complete. 

If you feel unsure about attending full course for beginner, you may attend SSI Try Freediving Program to experience what you will experience in Freediving course.

​After you complete your Freediving pool, what can I do with this certification?

You can upgrade your Level 1 certification by attending minimum two open water session to complete all the skills. There are minimum requirement to get your Level 1 certification, or

Attend two training session to upgrade your Level 1 certification.

Attend Basic Specialty Program to earn free Recognition Rating - Specialty Freediver

You may also attend Freediving Level 1 course for two day to experience the real freediving activity. During Level 1 course, you will need to go through  theory session, pool session and open water sessions to experience depth training. Comfort through repetition.

With SSI Freediving level 1 certification, you may attend more training sessions as preparation for your level 2 or go for level 2 course or attend specialty programs to earn free recognition ratings Specialty Freediver and Advanced Freediver
