Try Freediving Session in Penang

SSI has lunched it’s new Freediving program Try Freediving as an experience program to those who want to experience what freediving is before register for SSI Freediving  Level 1.

In conjunction with this new program, Apnea Odyssey was grateful to promote ‘try freediving session in Penang with Zou Divers. This is a 2-hours introduction program included pool training to let all participants to experience the introduction of freediving activity. However, this is only an experience program not equivalent with any freediving certification program. Anyone interested with freediving certification program, can enrol for Freediving Basic/Pool course (2 days/6-8hrs program) or SSI Freediving Level 1 with two depth training sessions.

We have two groups participated for the session.

We have Nagaraja, Rozani and Nasrol. In the try freediving session, every participants will be taught breathing technique of freediving. Next, they will practice to hold their breath, and practised all the skills in the pool. Everyone performed good freediving skills in the pool. Nasrol did it easy 40m. And also Rozani and Naga. Everyone is excited to see their progress respectively.

nd we have second group in afternoon session. For this program, the minimum age requirement is 10 years old. We have Kai (11 years old) and Hawa (10 years old) participated in this training session. The performances by our junior freedivers were astounding. In one breath, Kai can naturally go 25 meter with fins, and so with Hawa.

At the end of the session everyone happy to participate the session. Everyone is excited to continue their freediving level 1. I am also happy to hear the positive response. And even after the session, I have received a phone call to do the same session in Alor setar.  But most importantly is the awareness about this activity that you cannot freedive alone. One of the benefit from the program is now we have Penang group for freediving activity.

After the session, all participants will receive their try freediving digital card and diploma.
